Vinyasa Yoga /Staff
Each class is about an hour. Please bring a mat, a towel, and water. Dress in comfortable clothes, expect to sweat and have "Fun With Yoga!"
I suggest not to eat for at least 1 1/2 hours before class.
Vinyasa Yoga - poses (asanas) and movements sequenced together with breath to produce strength, endurance, flexibility, and calmness.
Yin Yoga / Gentle Yoga - for all bodies and all ages, in this class we hold the poses to open the body for a deeper stretch. This allows for a slow and gentle way to experience yoga.
Yoga Mix - an eclectic mix of classic poses with an emphasis on flexibility, energy, strength and balance.
Vinyasa Yoga Series II - for those who truly want a challenge; to build strength and flexibility while sweating and burning calories (we suggest some prior experience)
Family Yoga - all ages are welcome to this 45min class. Learning the basics and breathing through all the different poses of yoga. At least a 24hrs advanced reservation is required for this class. 812-243-9404
Ashtanga Based Vinyasa Yoga - involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing internal heat and purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
Lyrical Yoga
– a gentle style that flows from one posture to another using elements of
modern dance.
Sport Yoga
– a mix of traditional yoga asanas designed to encourage building strength
Easy Flow Yoga -
beginner level. Bringing the components of strength,
flexibility and stress reduction together while learning the proper body
alignment with breath awareness and movement.
Iyengar Based Yoga -
Iyengar Yoga
can be practiced by all. The use of props, such as blocks, belts, and ropes
helps the practitioner to achieve perfection in any asana. The
emphasis is given to precision and alignment in all postures. Regular
practice of ‘Iyengar Yoga’ definitely integrates the body, mind, and
emotions.
Okinawan Ryukyu Karate
- is
a system of martial arts that has roots in both; the Okinawan "TE" (HAND)
system and the Chinese Kempo (FIST WAY). Thus RyuKyu Kempo is a blend of the
old Okinawan and Chinese martial arts. Some examples are:
Tuite Jitsu (grab hand)
will show that everyone
is weak in the same way, all of us have nerves, tendons, joints and muscles
that will respond in a predetermined manner when specific pressure is
applied to them. Kyusho Jitsu (nerve point manipulation) This is the
most advanced form of strikes in the martial arts. When properly used
against selected anatomical points of the nervous or circulatory systems
it will temporarily disable the attacker beyond the ability to renew his
attack. Here precision not strength is the key to the resolution of a
threatening situation.
